Children Freedom Programme is a 8 weeks course aimed specifically at primary age children. Children who have or are living with domestic abuse can often become forgotten victim when the abuse is disclosed. They can fall through the cracks, with very few services to help them understand what has happened and to support them as individuals. At the end of the course children should be able to identify and name abusive and non-abusive behaviours and recognise the differences between the two. The course also encourages the children to see that what they perceive to be random acts of abuse are NOT their FAULT. They can be reassured that they are not to blame.
